Compressed and thrusted sediments formed at the edge of a former ice sheet (north of Helgoland). The lowest shear horizon (décollement) lies at a depth of ca. 250m. Individual faults have been marked in green. The red line marks the position of the Middle-Mioscene Unconformity.
