The Coordination Office

Your IODP coordination office has the following tasks:

• Coordination of the German activities in the advisory bodies of IODP and ECORD
• Information of German scientists on current developments in IODP, e.g. expedition calls, workshops and ECORD Summer Schools
• Advice and support for IODP expedition participants
• Organization of the scientists’ travel to the expeditions, pre- and postcruise meetings, workshops and panel meetings
• Reporting on the current status in the IODP, including the DFG Senate Commission on Earth System Research
• Updating/maintenance of the extensive ODP/IODP publication database of German scientists from 2003 onwards and of dissertations linked to IODP
• Distribution of information material (e.g. ECORD Newsletter, etc.)
• Preparation and organization of the annual IODP/ICDP colloquia
• Administration of research proposals in the DFG priority program
• Statistics of German activities within IODP
